Lulu has moved from fashion and friends in glam Mumbai to global London. The blog takes on everyday living, museums, cafe's, cosmopolitan friends, currently infrequent weekend pub visits, shopping and calorie counts. If I understand British Humour which is slowly making its way into my brain cells through my cold ears, I promise to share.

Snowy Mornings

I never imagined snow would thrill me. To wake up in the morning, and an etheral powder white setting in a boring suburban street view outside the window makes quite a lovely sight. To describe the correct emotion at the moment i can think of glee.

The eskimo speaks the truth, I should listen more and not jump to my own darned conclusions about horrifyingly cold winters in the laplands. When people in london were getting excited about the chilly winter(thats the crux of all conversations:weather), I scoffed and said well snow in london is mushy and digusting and there is no way I could possibly bear it. Alas the bbc for once forecast the truth. I admit my ignorance.

To recapture the pretty sight this morning, I kept an alarm for
2 am :No Snow
3.30 am : No Snow
6.30 am: No Snow
8.19 am: Very cloudy
10.12 am: Clouds with few snow flakes settling on my window sill
14.35 pm: Bright blue sunshine with open windows

This weekend will be like a movie in wales. A dinner party, varied bunch of characters, lovers, ex lovers, the other woman, friends, colleagues. I'm looking forward to my pims and lemonade and will hopefully hop onto the right train this time around!!

My dear. I would like to comment on a very huge error in your account of your love of the white powder. In a different context, I would consider calling the cops on you, but if you insist that its snow and not blow, then very well. It's lapland, not like the badlands, without the 's'. Thank you kindly for your attention.
Sincerely Yours,
